Project Management Office Manager

Overview: Our Client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, has an immediate need for a Project Management Office (PMO) Managerj.

The position is located east of Pittsburgh, PA and is remote.

Candidates must live local to the facility to occassionally participate in project kickoffs or milestones.

Relocation assistance is available.

This is a full time permanent position.

Ideal candidates must have 10 years of experience running medium to large size global IT projects across multiple business entities.

Responsibilities: The Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) provides leadership and governance to a team of project managers.

This role will guide project teams to ensure successful project delivery which meets project goals or business transformation objectives.

The Manager, PMO oversees the work of IT Project Managers and works with the implementation teams to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs and to develop the project management governance process.

The role reports to the Information Technology Director.

Project Management GovernanceEstablish the PMO role and operating model.Set standards for project management capabilities, certifications and qualifications for Project Managers, success measurement criteria, methodologies, tools to be used, etc.Nurture project management practitioners and share knowledge of industry best practices.Project Monitoring & ReportingSummarize and report overall program status progressManage the issues, risks and dependencies, required to articulate mitigations, resolutions plans and drive path forward for high-level work items and work with service delivery leaders to take corrective action as needed.Oversee Project Managers for the delivery of projects/programs on time, within the scope and on budget.Project Management Team LeadershipEstablish the PMO organization structure, hiring and managing staffing requirement.Oversee the delegation of work to Project Managers and Subject Matter experts.Set annual performance targets for individuals and the team and conduct performance reviews.

Qualifications: Technical Skills:Experience running medium to large size Information Technology projects
– 10 yearsExperience leading global IT projects across multi business entitiesPrior experience estimating and budgeting management skillsKnowledge of ERP Systems, Oracle preferredPrior experience from a manufacturing environmentExpert-level knowledge of project and change management, associated methodologies, techniques, metrics, processes and approaches (Project and Portfolio Management Methodology – PPM).Prior experience managing a teamEducation:Degree in Information Technology, Business or equivalent experience
