What You Will Contribute To Altos The P.

Muñoz-Cánoves Laboratory is excited to be recruiting experienced cellular and molecular biologists or biochemists who are passionate about using their expertise to unravel the biology of aging in the context of tissue communication and tissue rejuvenation programming and to help translate these findings into impactful new treatments.

The successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists to integrate knowledge across a wide range of experiments and investigate cellular and tissular aging, circadian biology, senescence, and reprogramming.

Specifically, we are looking for individuals to work on unraveling the cellular and molecular mediators of Cell/Tissue communication and their dysregulation with age in mice and humans.

Responsibilities Engage in ground-breaking and innovative science.

Develop project-specific experimental strategies, techniques, and procedures.

Carry out research projects in collaboration with the principal investigator and senior scientists.

Contribute to writing and dissemination of research results.

Support and manage internal/external collaborations in multidisciplinary projects.

Assist with training wet lab and core facility members including technicians.

Responsible for helping PI train lab members, including scientists and technicians.

Contribute to writing and dissemination of research results.

Who You Are We seek different scientific profiles to join the group.

Minimum requirements for the Scientist role include: PhD in life sciences and highly competitive scientific publications record.

Excellent computer and data mining skills, including advanced proficiency with Google apps, Excel, and vector graphic applications to produce documents and manage projects.

Excellent professional writing skills and the ability to attune through writing and presentations to a variety of audiences including senior executives through entry-level employees.

Problem-solving skills sufficient to identify issues, conduct research and develop innovative solutions.

Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with a broad range of people, including staff colleagues, lab members, faculty, outside agencies and collaborators, and the community.

Demonstrated high productivity and ability to complete work in a timely manner.

Ability to organize work and set priorities.

Ability to focus on details to produce accurate, quality work driven by deadlines.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and with others in a team.

Strengths in dealing with ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications Candidates with strong training in the following fields are preferred: Epigenetics and Epigenetic modifications Metabolism, including metabolome and skeletal muscle/liver metabolism Circadian regulation Immunology, lymphoid and myeloid cells, and inflammation Protein labeling and secretome profiling in vivo Stem cell biology and prior experience with animal models are a plus Single-cell analysis of animal tissues Tissues crosstalk What We Want You To Know We are a culture of collaboration and scientific freedom, and we believe in the values of diversity, inclusion and belonging to inspire innovation.
