Job Title: Diagnostic Radiology Technologist (CT) Location: North Las Vegas, Nevada Job Summary: Sanford Federal is looking for a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist (CT) to perform in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Our ideal candidate succeeds at providing relevant work experience, also, demonstrates an adequate education and background in this field, and fully capable of accomplishing his duties in such an effective and efficient manner. Requirements: The candidate must meet the following requirements:Copies of current held licenses/registrations, including BLS certification Evidence of completion accredited program Three letters of references addressing the status and clinical competence of the Technologist are recommended Demonstrates appropriate techniques to gather relevant information from the medical record, significant others, and health care providers. Maintains knowledge of physical assessment, aseptic techniques, intravenous skills, and universal precautions. Knowledgeable in pre-procedural, procedural, and post-procedural care of patients. Maintains specific knowledge of cross-sectional human anatomy and its application in spiral, and/or, multi-slice computer tomography, inclusive of 3-D reconstruction scans, including drainages, biopsies, and peripheral vascular examinations. Maintains specific knowledge and training in the location, appearance, and function of the various major and minor systems susceptible to radiological illumination. Duties: The candidate must perform the following duties:Balances the needs of the patients and staff while still performing complex scans and procedures. Access factors that may contraindicate the procedure. Receives requests or instructions for procedures. Interprets requests or instructions from radiologist. Employee understands and carries out the requests made by physicians or seeks assistance of the supervisor or a higher graded technologist when an uncommon, unique or new procedure is required. Independently interprets and carries out the requests made by physicians. As Diagnostic Radiology technologist (CT), interprets and directs the accomplishment of the most difficult requests. Carries out and oversees the work of lowergrade technologists to accommodate requests. Performs computed axial tomography (CT) scanning of head and/or body, to perform a variety of complex diagnostic examinations. Performs a variety of specialized CT examinations through experience obtained from in-house training and additional outside training should the individual require said training. Interprets the examination request accurately and understands the functioning and interrelationship of the various organs. Uses methods and techniques which will identify organs appearing on the digital display monitor, or on film, and the various stages of the examination to judge the acceptability of the image and/or scan for diagnostic use and emphasizes the aspects of particular interest to the physician. Performs technical work in support of diagnostic radiology under the direction of a Radiologist.
