Renewable Energy Associate

Estuary Power

This is a Full-time position in Reno, NV posted November 11, 2022.

The Company:

Estuary Power is a developer and owner of renewable energy and related infrastructure projects based in Reno, Nevada.  Estuary works creatively with the most innovative utilities and energy users to create high value projects which address the needs of our rapidly changing world.  Estuary focuses primarily on utility scale generation projects from 60 MW – 600 MW and related assets including transmission and energy storage.  Estuary’s team has extensive experience across the renewable and conventional energy and investment sectors.  Estuary is backed by Ullico Infrastructure Fund, an open-ended infrastructure investment fund with over $5 billion under management.  

The Role: 

Estuary is seeking an Associate to work in our Reno, Nevada office who will contribute to all aspects of conceptualizing, developing, financing, and constructing renewable energy projects and building the company for the next stage of growth.  This role is envisioned for someone who has recently completed a bachelor’s degree or with up to 3 years of work experience after a bachelor’s degree.  The role can be somewhat tailored to focus on the Associate’s background and interests – for example, the role can focus more on engineering, environmental permitting, construction, or contracting.

The Associate will:   

  • Coordinate and manage the numerous diverse work streams comprising our projects and transactions.  
  • Coordinate project details across a wide range of disciplines, including schedules.  
  • Maintain schedules; document meetings; organize overall project progress.  
  • Create presentations and marketing materials for partners and investors. 
  • Research markets, regulations, and technologies to generate and evaluate opportunities.  
  • Coordinate procurement processes for construction, equipment, and other services.  
  • Coordinate all aspects of acquisition, divestiture, partnership, and financing transactions.  
  • Maintain project budgets and invoicing.  
  • Participate in building functionality, facilities, systems, and infrastructure to support the next stage of company growth.  

Requirements:

  • Well organized, diligent, and detail oriented.  
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  
  • Professional demeanor.  Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Able to build relationships with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.  
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.  Ability to create and manipulate organized, easy-to-follow spreadsheets and presentations required.  
  • Enthusiasm for lean, hands-on start-up environment and willingness to embrace a wide variety of roles, from very strategic to very executional.   
  • Proactive and self-motivated.   
  • Able to travel out of town occasionally.  Able to drive occasionally.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, or other relevant field.
