Visit us online at: ( JOIN OUR TEAM! Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Pier Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The LPN is responsible for the implementation of physician’s orders, as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Nursing Manager, and within the boundaries of their professional license. RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE: The LPN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing nursing care to assigned patients, utilizing basic understanding of Mental Health conditions. Maintains safe environment and appropriate boundaries with clients and staff. Provides role modeling of appropriate behavior to clients for effective responsible citizenship and conflict resolution. Teaches appropriate social skills, communication skills, and relationship building skills. Monitors and evaluates patient participation in client treatment activities. Assists in providing therapeutic and/or recreational activities. Provides structure and direction for educational groups for Life skills. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and stand for long periods of time. Minimum one (1) year as a LPN/LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred. Licensed to practice vocational/practical nursing (LPN) from the State Board of Nursing. Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Handle With Care training; including restraint and seclusion policies. Work is of medium demand both physically and mentally; heavy walking and standing while on duty. Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures; knowledge of department and personnel policies. Skill in oral and written communication; ability to plan, organize and conduct patient care processes in a timely manner.
