The Marigold mine is located in Humboldt County, Nevada, United States on the Battle Mountain-Eureka trend. SSR Mining completed the acquisition of Marigold on April 4, 2014 and published an updated technical report in July 2018.In production since 1989, Marigold is a large run-of-mine heap leach operation with several open pits, waste rock stockpiles, leach pads, a carbon absorption facility, and a carbon processing and gold refining facility. Currently the mine utilizes a fleet of 290-tonne haul trucks and three loading units. Based on the Marigold updated life of mine plan announced on June 18, 2018, for the period to 2027, the mine is expected to produce on average approximately 211,000 ounces of gold per year. The gold doré bars produced at the mine are shipped to a third party refinery.Highlights of the Marigold mine include:* Mineral Reserves: Probable Mineral Reserves of 3.6 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 0.49 g/t and 0.3 million ounces of gold in leach pad inventory, as at December 31, 2019.* Potential for mine life extension: Indicated Mineral Resources of 4.7 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 0.48 g/t and 0.3 million ounces of gold in leach pad inventory. Inferred Mineral Resources of 0.2 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 0.35 g/t. Mineral Resources are as at December 31, 2019. Mineral Resources are inclusive of Mineral Reserves.* Delivered strong annual gold production: Produced 220,227 ounces of gold in 2019.* 2020 Production guidance: Anticipated production of between 225,000 and 240,000 ounces of gold in 2020.* Marigold operating outlook: Updated life of mine plan for the Marigold mine forecasts average annual production of approximately 236,000 ounces per year to 2023, with peak production over 265,000 ounces of gold in 2021 and 2022, a 30% increase over 2018. Refer to news release dated June 18, 2018.* Mine-life extension through exploration: Approximately $12 million planned for exploration in 2020 will focus on reverse circulation drilling at Marigold and Trenton Canyon targeting near-surface Mineral Resources, and diamond drilling targeting high-grade sulfides at Trenton Canyon.General Objectives:Reporting to the Crew Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Operator typically works a 5×4 rotating day and night schedule in an open-pit mining operation. The heavy equipment operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment as well as learning and interacting with the Modular Dispatch System in the equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator monitors equipment; communicates equipment needs and issues; interacts with other departments to meet the needs of the mine to achieve a safe and productive workplace.Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties:* Create and maintain a strong safety culture* Promote and consistently implement company safety policies* Maintain detailed and accurate shift records* Perform work area housekeeping duties, maintain a safe work area, free of any hazards* Perform Field Level Risk Assessments* Complete proper pre-op inspection on all equipment* Perform all duties according to Marigold Standard Operating Procedures* Perform other duties as required* Ability to operate electric haul trucks and have experience or willing to train on Dozers (track and rubber tire), Back hoe, Track hoe, Scrapers and Graders, Drills (Pit Viper and DML), and Loaders and Shovels (hydraulic and electric)* Must be able to work professionally with other employees in all situations* Must be physically able to complete all tasks associated with the job* Must demonstrate the ability to minimize delays whenever possible* Must keep equipment clean and free of hazards (i.e. proper housekeeping)* Must be able to determine what is causing an operating error and decide what to do about it, determine what kind of tools and equipment are needed to do the job.* Watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly* Must have regular attendance and punctuality, as well as adhere to company policies on attendance and PTO* Must be able to satisfactorily complete company training program designed to acquaint employee on safe and efficient operation of haulage equipment such as the 930E Komatsu Electric Truck* Must be able to satisfactorily complete company training program designed to acquaint employee with recognizing and reporting hazards in the work area and mechanical or safety problems with the equipment* Must be able to satisfactorily complete company training program designed to acquaint the employee on emergency and site procedures (i.e. Mayday, Blasting)* Must be able to satisfactorily complete simulator training and achieve the required standards to comply with Marigold’s equipment training program within the required time frame.* Must adhere to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety and environmental policies.* Other duties as assignedRequired Skills* Strong, positive and effective communication skills in English, using all normal forms of business communication are essential.* Able to lift a minimum of 45lbs on a regular basis.* Able to work on uneven terrain, and able to work in all grades.Required Experience* 2+ years previous heavy equipment operator experience in a mining operations preferred.* Must be comfortable in safely operating all types of equipment in all weather conditions.* Heavy Equipment Operators will begin their career with haul trucks and achieve progressions to support and loading equipment through simulator, task training, and proficiency evaluation.Job Location Valmy, Nevada, United States Position Type Full-Time/RegularApply
