Data Analyst (COE)

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Operation Performance Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and assist with the analytical support of the company’s Casino Marketing operations and executive management.

This role will execute ongoing and ad hoc analyses and special projects designed to improve the efficiency with which the analytical support function of the department is carried out.

Additional responsibilities include the annual budgeting process for all Casino Marketing departments for MGM Resorts International.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Systematic integration of data sources into report generation platforms.
  • Generation of financial reports including P&L statements.
  • Financial performance review of Casino Marketing related events and operations.
  • Preparation of presentations for Senior Executive Management including the Board of Directors.
  • Ad-hoc analyses regarding national as well as international marketing efforts.
  • Budgeting of all Casino Marketing operations.
  • Optimizing the execution of the company’s Casino Marketing strategy.
  • Evaluation of current business models including policies and procedures resulting in recommendations to increase efficiencies and profitability.
  • Other job related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
  • One (1) year prior relevant experience.

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in business, finance, engineering, IT or related field.
  • Extensive experience with SQL
  • Extensive experience with the integration of backend data source (e.g.

    ODBC) into report generation platforms.

  • Extensive experience with IBM Cognos.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with data collection, basic statistics and statistical measurement tools and data analysis.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s)
