Alarm Monitor – 80 with Security Clearance


This is a Contract position in Hawthorne, NV posted September 6, 2022.

Job Summary Typical Responsibilities Include: Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations. May be required to work overtime or varying hours to include shift work. Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. Provide verbal and written reports regarding pertinent safety, security, facility, or personnel issues/incidents Respond professionally and courteously to all personnel, radio call, medical emergencies and serious incidents. Remain alert at all times to be able to provide appropriate security monitoring of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTVs), Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System (ICIDS) and Vision 21 Alarms. Able to complete the associated training requirements for computer-based programs. Wear appropriate work attire which may include a company provided dress uniform. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Receiving, analyzing & prioritizing 911 calls as well as non-emergency phone calls for DACP Police, Fire, and EMS service. Performing Emergency Medical Dispatch when appropriate and giving lifesaving instructions over the phone to callers. Effectively utilizing a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system to prioritize calls, record incident details & identify the status and location of responders in the field. Distributing calls for Security, DACP Police, Fire & EMS according to guidelines. Monitoring radio traffic for Security, Range Control, DACP Police, Fire & EMS. Access a secure, nationwide database to look up confidential records for responders, including driver and vehicle registration statuses & warrants. Mass Notification System is to be used for all situations requiring mass notification on Depot. Send emergency alerts to the public. Monitor and enforce access rosters for restricted areas and key control. Maintain radio logs, Dispatcher’s logbook, police blotters, writing Reports and TIL inventory lists documenting area checks and Category Material in lot. Monitor vehicle status and trip tickets. Complete tasks as assigned from Lead Dispatcher, Shift Supervisor or Management. PPE: ☒ Full Face APR (M40, North, etc.) – Routine use Minimum Requirements Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) site access Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement High school degree or equivalent. Excellent communication skills. Working knowledge of MS Office and basic computer skills, prior experience with databases preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a security clearance. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain the PILB Certification. Preferred Qualifications Dispatching experience.
