Secretary, Career Training and TABE Clerk

This is a Full-time position in Incline Village, NV posted October 17, 2022.

  • Position Summary: THIS POSITION IS  Full-Time – POSITION   You have two jobs.  You work as a TABE Clerk and a CTT Manager.  Reports to the manager, academics programs.  Responsible for scheduling and administrative all required academics program tests, including the screening and program exit tests in compliance with government and management directives.  You also work in the Records Clerk helping with the paperwork for the students.  

    Essential Functions:  
     Conduct orientation of new students concerning testing procedures, acquaint students with the purposes of testing, the manner in which the test scores are to be used and how they related to the student’s progress in Job Corps.
    2.  Arrange for testing facilities; provide the students with necessary testing materials
    3.  Ensure all testing is scheduled and conducted in accordance with DOL and center requirements and ensure all test data is properly recorded.
    4.  Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standard for a work environment.
    5.  Maintain accountability of staff, students and property; adhere to safety practices.   6.  Receive telephone calls and visitors; handle routine matters personally and route non routine business to proper staff for consideration. 

  • Maintain calendar and schedule appointments for students and staff.
  • Act as liaison between manager and other center staff.
  • Maintain correspondence control log, receive incoming and outgoing mail and follow up on dates for action items.          
  • Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties; preparation of special reports, maintain files and records, statistical data, make travel arrangements, etc., as required.    
  • Perform clerical duties including typing of correspondence and other materials

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.  Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
