Senior Java Developer


This is a Contract position in North Las Vegas, NV posted October 16, 2022.

Job Description Create quality code to implement design documents and fix bugs while adhering to coding standards.

Can independently solve problems as they arise.

Must be able to mentor, teach, and assist junior developers as they will play a much larger role in the development of team members, while maintaining high standards of performance with their individual work.

Must be proficient in both back-end and front-end technologies (full stack).

Additionally, a Senior Developer II is known for having specialized skills in which they are the go-to person for certain questions, and development in certain circumstances.

Essential functions: 1.

Follow design documents to implement solutions using best practices 2.

Estimate implementation times based on designs 3.

Read through defect descriptions to find and correct defects 4.

Suggest product improvements 5.

Improve overall efficiency of application 6.

Analyze the performance of hardware and software interfaces and identify alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources 7.

Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software and services 8.

Installing, configuring, and administering development workstation software including editors, development servers, and client applications Qualifications 1.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree preferred 2.

6 years development experience 3.

Ability to create simple and well-designed solutions to complex software problems 4.

Fluent in C# with .NET Core and/or Java with Spring Boot 5.

Fluent in JavaScript or TypeScript and related frameworks/libraries such as Angular or React 6.

Familiar with RDBMS and NoSQL databases 7.

Familiar with AWS and containers 8.

Ability to contribute over the standard 40-hour work week if deemed necessary by management but more importantly through self-motivation when extra time is required to get the job complete 9.

Good written communication skills 10.

Ability to work both as a member of a team and independently based on the project requirements 11.

Ability to effectively and professionally interact with customers, clients, and other employees.
