Job Title Network Operations Analyst II Location Las Vegas, NV Hours 12 hr. shifts3-4 days per week Phoenix Staff is currently seeking a Network Operations Analyst II to join a growing company in the Las Vegas area. The NOC Analyst II will monitor and maintain systems in 24×7 highly available production environments. Candidates must demonstrate experience and expertise at supporting Microsoft, Linux and UNIX operating environments and storage networks. Must have experience providing systems monitoring, reporting, incident handling and troubleshooting of complex technical environments Responsibilities Position requires experience with Windows and LinuxUnix server configuration and administration that includes day-to-day monitoring and maintenance activities Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools and techniques Must provide capacity planning and performance metric analysis and reporting Must have expertise in server hardware components and internals as well as server build, configuration and application support experience Management and escalation of incidents, support operations, and vendor management Must be able to produce process documentation, technical diagrams and related documentation Help in system initiatives and new projects Consistently execute standard operating procedures to monitor or manage systems and data processing Troubleshooting issues related to production systems, triaging as necessary for production, QA development environments Develop and monitor the output of scripts for data processing jobs, monitoring systems and critical applications, and administering a centralized event console Complete tasks required to maintain service levels and availability of all site features and functions Supporting process improvements Full-time position with on-call duties SkillsRequirements Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, or advanced Technical certifications in Microsoft, Cisco or UNIX technologies, andor equivalent work experience 3-5 years’ work experience as Windows andor Unix Server Administrator or equivalent Previous experience in a role focused on monitoring and responding to system events and scheduled processes Understanding of and experience with Microsoft and Unix operating systems, Active Directory Domain architecture, User administration, NTFS permissions, and DNS Practical understanding of networking – routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, VLANs Must have experience with using systems monitoring software (e.g. Solar Winds, Microsoft Operations Manager, HP OpenView or similar) Must have strong experience working with SIEM, IPS, Firewall, DLP and other security systems Must have strong communication skills and ability to work individually, within a team, with other groups and with customers Understanding of or experience with scripting skills – PERL, batch, PowerShell andor VB Must have ability to communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences Desired Skills Understanding of or experience supporting .NET application Understanding of or experience supporting web servers Understanding of or experience with backup software and recovery strategies Microsoft certifications are highly desirable CISSP highly desired
