Position DevOps Engineer Location Reno, NV 6 Months Temp to perm – W2 Candidates only The DevOps Engineer role is a “playercoach” position, with an expectation of approximately 20 leadership and mentorship duties and 80 hands-on technical application. This leader will ensure IT change and release processes are followed while configuring and supporting the continuous automation and deployment tools. They will also buildgrow automation within the IT while being customer-focused, metric-driven, collaborative, and leveraging technological tools and processes to be their most efficient and effective. RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the development of tools and frameworks, including continuous integrationdelivery pipelines and automation testing framework Partner with global teams, development managers, and other teams to ensure good DevOpsEngineering Practices work is being implemented as part of development and system efforts Develop and implement application software-release frameworktooling, implementation, and management to deliver software consistently, securely, and quickly Set up DevOps builds, transformations, and deployment configurations for each environment Assisting with branchingmerging in support of parallel development requirements Support production deployments and assist with troubleshooting deployment issues Monitor all events that occur and escalate exception conditions during CI and CD process Maintain operational stability enforce security measures for, testing, development, and deployment of new Infrastructure-related technologies Automate change configuration management processes, on an ongoing basis. Be a trusted advisor for cloud and on-premise initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice while also building organizational partnerships and networks to ensure comprehensive cloud capabilities are developed with input from appropriate business and IT resources Provide support for release management automated and manual processes as required for scheduled and emergency releases, as required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or equivalent 4 years of experience in (preferably) DevOps, systems engineering, or software development Strong knowledge of iterative Software Development methodology, including design, coding, testing, and implementation CICD Tool experience, such as in Jenkins, Azure DevOps Services (TFS), .NET, and Git Experience implementing applications in private clouds and AzureAWS, Kubernetes, and Docker Experience working with and administrating databases, preferably SQL Server Experience in scripting languages (Perl, PHP, Python, Java, C, etc.) Excellent interpersonal skills able to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization Excellent written and verbal communication skills 3 years of experience in a leadership role for DevOpsSRE preferred ITIL certification in ChangeReleaseConfiguration preferred
