This is a Full-time position in North Las Vegas, NV posted April 17, 2021.

Responsibilities Wersquore looking to hire an Applications Analyst II or Senior Applications Analyst software engineer at our North Las Vegas office. The Applications Analyst will be responsible for the business process analysis, design, development, implementation and support of the applicable business applications. This position does not manage staff. The position reports to the Software Engineering Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Applications Analyst II Level Must be a team player and have strong experience developing applications using these technologies. Basic knowledge of technical principles, theories, standards, practices and procedures in software development. Understand the features and concepts associated with object oriented programming and the Model-View-Controller architectural pattern. Write program code from internal specification documentation or outdated application code and prepare test plans, test data, run tests, observe results and correct program code to resolve any differences from specifications. Assist in the administration and technical responsibility of COTS and in-house developed applications including support for users, translating business requirements into enhancements configuring and testing changes maintaining and monitoring system security and permissions and coordinating activities with other team members, the application owner, and IT. Provide backend support of enterprise server farms that host multiple applications. Identify, report, and assist in the remediation of Cyber Security threats and vulnerabilities. Knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle relational databases is a must. Ability to use multiple electronic devices including standard office machines, cellular phones, and security appliances. Ability to understand policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and other directives, maintain strict confidentiality. Telecommuting or teleworking may be a possibility for this position. Senior Application Analyst Level Must be a team player and have strong experience developing applications using these technologies. Advanced knowledge of technical principles, theories, standards, practices and procedures in software development. Qualifications Due to the nature of our work, ship is required for all positions. Applications Analyst II l Level Bachelorrsquos degree in a computer related field or equivalent computer related experience with at least 2 years relevant, progressively responsible experience. Candidate will be an object oriented programmer, preferably in ASP.NET MVC (.NET Framework Core), C, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, APEX or Java. Ability to work on projects that may involve other IT sections, other departments, and consultants. Demonstrate good analytical skills. Ability to solve design problems. Demonstrate problem solving skills. Demonstrate technical trouble shooting skills. Demonstrate testing and debugging skills. Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to support multiple increasingly complex software applications or database platforms. Ability to evaluate user requirements and write technical specifications. Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Senior Applications Analyst Level Bachelorrsquos degree in a computer related field or equivalent computer related experience with at least 5 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience. Candidate will be an object oriented programmer, preferably in ASP.NET MVC (.NET Framework Core), C, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, APEX or Java. Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must possess good trouble shooting and testing skills. Must possess excellent customer service skills and good oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate with co-workers, customers, write clear and concise reports, gather information, and collect information. Must possess good presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced, changing environment. Ability to support multiple increasingly complex software applications or database platforms. Ability to evaluate user requirements and write technical specifications.
