Human Resource Director

Advancial Federal Credit Union

This is a Contract position in Las Vegas, NV posted September 28, 2022.

Responsibilities: Directs Human Resources programs to recruit, hire, support, mentor and develop Advancial employees; oversees the workflow of the team to include but not limited to payroll, recruitment and employee relations functions.

Responsible for ensuring positive relationships with branches, internal departments and external partners, and for fostering a positive culture throughout the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.Manages the daily operations of the Human Resources Department including disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations; performance management; recruitment; reward and recognition, human resources information systems, and payroll.

Develop, implement and control programs in a manner that ensures cost effectiveness, market competitiveness and internal equity among employees.Provides leadership, planning, project coordination and management for development of a cost-effective department while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future needs within the organization.Develop effective recruiting and retention programs and strategies that will attract high performing talent.

Pro-actively identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods.Manage employee relations and investigation process.

Ensure employee concerns are addressed in a timely fashion.

Develop necessary processes to ensure a fair process.Manage Human Resource Information System (HRIS) vendor relationships.

Analyzes and directs all function-related activities within the scope of the HRIS.

Ensure the department is capitalizing on the features and benefits of the system and implements applicable changes.Oversees job descriptions, procedures and employee handbook as needed.

Ensure all applicable laws are followed.Participate in the annual budget process.

Work with management in identifying budget needs.Researches, analyzes data and prepares quarterly reports on HR trends, new HR project suggestions and current program goals and progress to the VP
– Human Resources.Develop, prepare and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including issues such as turnover, exit interview data and recruitment.Manages federally-mandated programs (e.g.

FMLA, ADA, Affirmative Action, equal opportunity, etc.) in compliance with applicable regulations.

Maintains communication with managers regarding proper implementation of such regulations.Manages worker’s compensation and develops and monitors the program in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Ensures proper communication with staff and managers.Maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting human resource management.

Identify trends that could affect organizational objectives and/or operational resources.

Interpret appropriate laws and policies and advise management and employees accordingly.Manages and develop the process of receiving grievances and mediating workplace disputes to ensure they are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner.Responds, directly or through staff, to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and health & safety issues.Establishes and implements the department’s budget and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.Directly supervise three employees in the Human Resources Department.

Conducts supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the applicable laws and the organization’s policies.

Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines as required; addresses complaints and resolves issues.Advancial Federal Credit Union is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.

Bachelor’s degree (B.

A.) from an accredited four-year college or university; and a minimum of five years related experience including three years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPHR designation preferred.
