ResponsibilitiesAbout Summerlin Hospital:Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children?s Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascularcare, surgical services, women?s health and oncology care.

Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines program.Job Description:Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.

Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.

The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.

Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.

Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.QualificationsJob Requirements:Education:Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.

BSN preferred.Experience:Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.License/Certification: This position requires Current RN license in the State of Nevada., Current BLS Certification, Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.

Other certification as may be required by facility, specialty or department.

Other:Must comply with hospital based competencies regarding blood-borne pathogen exposure, age specific care and patient safety.Note:An RN graduate is a nurse who has completed a course of study at a school of nursing and is eligible for the NCLEX.

The RN graduate performs directly under the supervision of the Charge Nurse or RN designee.

An interim RN license must be granted by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.Testing:Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
