A renown and progressive Medical Center in sunny and warm Nevada is very excited to announce the search for a qualified Interim Nurse Director of Labor and Delivery Services to add to the expanding Maternal Child Health and Perinatal department.
The Interim Nurse Director of Perinatal Services will work with a hospital that is part of a stable and growing non-profit health system. The hospital provides patient-centered, economical health services with a special concern for the sick poor and their families. The acute care hospital has six community-based health clinics with the largest and busiest private emergency trauma center in the community.
In collaboration with the Chief Nurse Officer CNO, the Interim Nurse Director of Family Birth Center will develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care services in units under his/her responsibility. The Interim Nurse Director of Labor and Delivery will ensure the delivery of quality nursing care to patients and families.
The Interim Nurse Director of Maternal Child Health will hold responsibility for the daily operations of the department: productivity, competencies, payroll, scheduling and assist the director with budgeting. The Interim Nurse Director of Perinatal Services may be pulled into direct patient care so they must have clinical expertise with vaginal deliveries as well as awareness of high risk deliveries.
The Labor and Delivery Interim Nurse Director will be supported by a highly collaborative team, well trained and tenured staff of 150 FTEs. The Interim Nurse Director of Labor and Delivery will be responsible for a busy and fast paced 20 Labor and Delivery rooms with 9 Antepartum beds department delivering approximately 7,000 babies with 775 babies cared for in the state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Center.
