This is a Full-time position in Carlin, NV posted June 1, 2022.

Wood is currently recruiting for a HSS& E Manager based out of Nevada project.

Responsibilities:Support the Wood enterprise HSSES initiatives and programsReview, and have a complete understanding, of existing Wood policies and proceduresAssist in the development of new HSSES policies and procedures to meet enterprise needsDevelop/oversee project HSSES execution plansFormulate KPIs to assess HSSES field performanceEnsure all Service Lines meet HSSES assurance protocolsParticipate, and lead, in HSSES Incident investigations and root cause analysis processes, and prepare required report(s) and make presentations as requiredTrack corrective actions per Service Line and its projects, and communicate trends and corrective actionsAssist in the planning, recognition, evaluation, and mitigation of risk to the Service Lines and projectsGain knowledge and understanding of applicable legislative, client, and Wood requirements for the business unitEngage in the HSSES training processCommunicate effectively and regularly with Wood employees, supervision, and occasional client interactionEnsure injury care is provided for employees and case management for all work-related incidents or illnessesAssist with implementation of the Wood Drug & Alcohol ProgramManage multiple HSSE teams and multiple projectsSupport the needs of RE& P HSSES departmentMaintain a thorough understanding of construction regulatory requirements under 29 CFR 192Manage large, complex capital construction projectsMaintain a detailed understanding of construction work practice means-and-methods#LI-Remote Skills / QualificationsNationally recognized certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST), OSHA 500, or degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related fieldPossess a minimum of 10 years of progressive performance responsibility within the HSSES fieldAbility to safely navigate construction sitesEstablished experience managing large, complex capital construction projectsDemonstration of competency to manage multiple HSSE teams and multiple projectsCPR/AED/First Aid certificationAdditional leadership or HSSES based continuing educationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated leadership skillsHigh level of integrity for reporting, as well as upholding enterprise policyProven ability to self-direct and complete tasks on-time with minimal 0oversightAbility to objectively audit compliance in the workplaceMust possess a working knowledge of Microsoft programs (e.G.
