IT Support Engineer

The PENTA Building Group is searching for an IT Support Engineer to join our team in Las Vegas, NV!

The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining corporate systems, the current IT infrastructure, and all helpdesk functions in a very hands-on, fast paced environment, reporting to the IT Director and Sr. Systems Engineer. This position is a great opportunity for candidates earlier on in their career looking to be a part of a collaborative IT group with opportunities for tremendous growth and vast IT exposure.

At PENTA, an IT Support Engineer is responsible for:

• Providing daily IT support and troubleshooting for all corporate helpdesk items including software, desktop hardware, network, and project related infrastructure for PENTA staff within all offices andor jobsites.
• Providing end user software support related to Microsoft Office (O365), Viewpoint, Citrix, and other enterprise level applications. Learning and ultimately helping administer any new enterprise level applications as they are introduced within the environment.
• Administering corporate iOS and Android devices (breakfix repair, MDM, etc.).
• Performing physical cat 56 and fiber network and telephony wiring, especially relating to mobile jobsite trailers throughout the Southwest.
• Updatingcreating IT documentation and other administrative workloads for all PENTA equipment and systems.
• Assisting with asset management and deployment.
• Working with IT team on new systems infrastructure projects as needed.

We trust that you have:

• 3 years of prior customer support experience preferably in an IT support, help desk, or desktop support environment.
• Have or are working toward industry specific professional certifications or equivalent college coursework, including but not limited to A+, Security+, etc.
• The ability to learn on the fly, deal with ambiguity, and to manage and resolve conflict during support sessions.
• The quality of being a self-starter with excellent communication and service skills.
• An eagerness to learn additional IT skills in a very open and collaborative IT group.
• The flexibility to travel to jobsites within Nevada, Arizona, and California.
• The ability to be able to work in a very fast paced, high volume environment often within multiple deadlines.
