IT Support

CN Labor Management

This is a Contract position in North Las Vegas, NV posted November 25, 2021.


The successful IT Support Technician will be responsible for functionality and maintenance, upgrades, installs and monitoring of software, hardware, and overall system functional specifications. This position will be responsible to review, analyze and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. The candidate will be involved in data management, backup, and recovery, and will function as a liaison between the IT Support team and end-users and have both business and technical expertise.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install operating system software, patches, and upgrades
  • To update and document client issues
  • To perform root cause analysis and determine client problems, and document these issues
  • Create and maintain documentation of configurations and processes
  • Perform system backups and recovery
  • Maintain an inventory of company owned equipment
  • Manage policy and procedure for upgrades
  • Respond to after-hours system alerts, troubleshooting and resolution
  • Analyze performance, identify areas of concern, and implement action plans
  • Manage the process of creation, modification, and termination of user accounts
  • To assist customers for the purpose of improving processes related to system issues
  • Monitor and update malware prevention systems
  • Set up end user hardware and software
  • Analyze and resolve end user requests
  • Document system requirements, analyze end user support patterns, defines scopes and objectives, and assists in creation of system specifications to provide end user training and support documentation
  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities requirements:
  • Time management and priority management skills
  • Proactive, self-starter requiring limited supervision and with a desire to work in a team environment
  • Analytical skills, and extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding
  • Ability to work weekends, afternoon, and evenings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT sciences preferred but not required
  • Minimum two years’ experience in IT systems/ or relevant experience
  • Proficient with Windows and Mac Operating Systems
  • Cisco experience is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Tenet and Azure Cloud preferred
  • Robust knowledge of Windows Server environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of automation software is a plus

Working Conditions

  • Office environment based on job duties
  • Must be able to work in high humidity, greenhouse environment on an as needed basis
