Financial Operations Associate

This is a Full-time position in Reno, NV posted April 16, 2021.

Fast paced Investment group seeking entry level Financial Operations Associate to be based in its Reno, Nevada office. A private holding company with assets in a variety of investments and a long track record of building great businesses in partnership with management teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Provide multi-faceted support to the Investment and Operations teams • Perform the accounts payable and receivable function, including monitoring activity, tracking payments, obtaining approvals, executing timely payments, preparing reconciliations, etc.

• Monitoring bank balances and cash projections, including reporting of such • Continuous and active monitoring of specified critical items as designated by Westwind Management • Perform a daily reconciliation of trading portfolio to ensure trades are executed within approval parameters; Assist in related reporting • Prepare credit card statement review, summarizing charges by entity and account • Maintain a calendar of insurance renewal dates, premiums due dates, etc.; Working with Company personnel and external professionals to ensure appropriate coverage and no lapse in such • Maintain a calendar of all vehicle registration dates; Active monitoring to ensure timely renewals • Generate reports/schedules (i.e., report generation) as assigned; Prepare ad hoc presentations and analyses • Take ownership of special projects as assigned, seeing the project through fruition • Assist with researching and executing organizational or process efficiency opportunities • Other duties as assigned Education, Skills & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting from a recognized four-year university • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving entrepreneurial environment where multi-tasking is the norm • Diligent work ethic with the ability to quickly learn and work independently • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail • Curious and resourceful with a natural ability to solve problems and seek new information • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present complex analyses • Ability to maintain confidences and confidential information in the execution of responsibilities • Strong skills in Microsoft suite, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint in an intermediate level
